Position Overview:

Performs aircraft Electrical systems research and design relating to the production of engineering drawings necessary for installation and completion of custom aircraft interiors. Coordinates with production personnel during the avionics/electrical installation process to provide technical solutions for a wide range of liaison engineering issues. Requires knowledge of cabin management system, power distribution, entertainment (IFE) and miscellaneous aircraft cabin systems.

Job Duties

Ensures avionics/electrical designs are completed in accordance with customer, regulatory and corporate requirements, on budget and on time.

Identifies, and assists with implementation, measures to reduce costs, reduce cycle time, improve quality and innovation.

Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design electrical systems necessary for the installation, and functionality, of custom aircraft interiors.

Ensures that project related engineering data is in compliance with corporate standards and FAA requirements.

Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to Electrical Engineering.

Stays informed of current trends and practices in the electrical engineering field.  Reviews the state-of-the art engineering developments and makes recommendations to the management team on cost-effective additions and/or modifications to meet department and corporate goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from is required.

Recommend 2 - 5 years of engineering experience.  Aviation background is preferred.

Proficiency with AutoCAD/Solid Works, or other Computer Aided Design Software a plus.

Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
