Position Overview:
Responsible for fabrication and installation of parts.
Job Duties
• Perform assigned tasks as directed by Manager or Lead
• Fabricate or install parts and assemblies per engineering drawing or maintenance manual
• Fabricates various sheet metal parts in their entirety by interpreting blueprints, calculating angels, diameters, and bend allowances, and then cutting shaping, and forming the part
• Sign off of all related paperwork
• Follow safety procedures as described by the company and OSHA
• Follow company rules as described in the employee handbook
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-7 years aircraft structural install/modification experience or airframe license
• Must be able to read, interpret and implement aircraft drawings and maintenance manuals
• Proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools, including precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, etc)
• Prior Experience operating sheet metal machinery to fabricate units with complex contours and multiple angels
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must be self starting and motivated
