Position Overview:
( Location will be in Ottawa)
In conjunction with the Director, Marketing and Business Development, the SAES Director Technology and internal stakeholders, develops tactical sales plans for specific opportunities.
Job Duties
- Delivers incremental sales in the Engineering Services domains within the Canadian Government market.
- Establishes, maintains and develops strong business relationships with customers, government, industry partners and sales prospects.
- Conducts market research to assess competitors and customers capabilities, costs, pricing, profitability, size and market share. Ensures this information is available to support business related decision-making.
- Contributes to the development of sales plans by providing customer insight, market research and competitive intelligence.
- Actively participates in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and coordination of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
- Conducts sales calls, prepares and performs product delivery presentations, provides product support, and performs other sales and marketing functions as needed.
- Coordinates and manages the relationship between StandardAero and any applicable representatives of the company (agents) as required.
- Organizes and participates in Conferences, Trade Shows and other customer events to promote and maximize StandardAero brand awareness.
- Carries out special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, problem solving, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
- Thorough knowledge of sales/marketing/computer information systems.
- Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
- University degree, preferably in engineering or equivalent.
- Management experience in sales in an aerospace and/or technical environment.
- Detailed understanding of Canadian Government purchasing process and personnel considered an asset.
- Up to 25% travel required.
