Position Overview:

( Location will be in Ottawa)

In conjunction with the Director, Marketing and Business Development, the SAES Director Technology and internal stakeholders, develops tactical sales plans for specific opportunities.

Job Duties

  • Delivers incremental sales in the Engineering Services domains within the Canadian Government market.

  • Establishes, maintains and develops strong business relationships with customers, government, industry partners and sales prospects.

  • Conducts market research to assess competitors and customers capabilities, costs, pricing, profitability, size and market share. Ensures this information is available to support business related decision-making.

  • Contributes to the development of sales plans by providing customer insight, market research and competitive intelligence.

  • Actively participates in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and coordination of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.

  • Conducts sales calls, prepares and performs product delivery presentations, provides product support, and performs other sales and marketing functions as needed.

  • Coordinates and manages the relationship between StandardAero and any applicable representatives of the company (agents) as required.

  • Organizes and participates in Conferences, Trade Shows and other customer events to promote and maximize StandardAero brand awareness.

  • Carries out special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, problem solving, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales/marketing/computer information systems.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • University degree, preferably in engineering or equivalent.
  • Management experience in sales in an aerospace and/or technical environment.
  • Detailed understanding of Canadian Government purchasing process and personnel considered an asset.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
