Located on Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), StandardAero’s Houston facility is building a reputation for quality aircraft service among operators in the Latin American market. In 2011, about 15 percent of the site’s airframe and avionics customers were from the region. Continuing to serve these customers well remains a high priority for us.
For operators in the southern United States and Latin America, our IAH technicians and Houston Hobby Airport-based Mobile Team are perfectly positioned to provide exceptional tip-to-tail service and quick turn AOG support.
Led by our avionics crew chief Jerry Sanders, our avionics experts are experienced in a broad range of avionics installations. With extensive training and authorizations from Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, Universal and Thrane & Thrane, our avionics team can provide the best options for each customer and their aircraft.
The team recently completed two WAAS/LPV installs, giving the flight crew increased operational flexibility with improved situational awareness. Other installations include Aircell’s ATG 4000 broadband that provides passengers and flight crew greatly enhanced data transfer capability; FMS upgrades; and many other flight deck management systems.
In addition to our avionics service and installation capabilities, StandardAero’s Houston facility is a one-stop shop for engines, airframe, sheet metal, interior and non-destructive testing (NDT). Plus, we’re an airframe Authorized Service Center for Falcon, Bombardier-Lear and Embraer aircraft and our technicians have an impressive level of experience on all minor and major inspections on Falcons, Learjets, Hawkers and Citations.
As a center of excellence for Honeywell TFE731 major periodic inspections (MPI) and core zone inspections (CZI), our engine shop has an unmatched reputation for service, turn times and quality. Our engine team recently acquired a PW300-series line authorization, adding additional capabilities for our customers.
